Maui’s climate varies little between summer and winter. The average year round temperature is 80 degrees. During the summer months of May through October, air temps range between 80 and 90 degrees, and the water temperature ranges between 75 and 80. During the winter months of November through April, air temperatures average between 77 and 86 degrees and the water temperature ranges between 72 and 76. Temperatures decrease when traveling to higher ground and on the shady sides of the island. Annual rainfall totals vary widely on different areas of the island. Most rain occurs on the North coast of Maui, resulting in beautiful waterfalls and plentiful flora and fauna.
